Omni Interlocken Resort & Spais seeking a Spa & Recreation Attendant to join our outstanding spa team! This vital role will work closely with Spa Management to ensure successful execution of all operations relating to the spa department, resulting in high levels of guest satisfaction. This highly motivated individual will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the Spa, Fitness Center, Wellness Activities and Outdoor Recreation Area while providing superior guest service in an environment of relaxation and comfort. We are looking for motivated and energetic individuals who love contributing to a winning team. If you have customer service experience, preferably in a spa/salon environment, we would love to speak with you about this role. Salary for this position is (based on experience):$19.00/hour. Spa & Recreation Attendant will also receive a portion of commission on the cost of spa treatments in the form of a guest service charge and a 10% retail commission on products sold to guests. Responsibilities
Prepares treatment rooms and spaces for guest arrival, including cleaning, sanitation, and stocking/restocking supplies.
Folding, organizing, and restocking linen as well as taking linen to the laundry area to be processed.
Greets guests & members using the Power of Engagement while also providing information and directions as necessary.
Instructs guests where they may change and/or dress for Mokara Spa treatments and experiences.
Maintain locker room in sanitary and safe condition to include shower areas, vanities and restroom spaces.
Maintain all guest lounge and deck areas in neat and sanitary condition.
Assist with the maintenance and cleanliness of surrounding spa areas including fitness center, wellness activity areas, and pool area as necessary to ensure neat and clean conditions.
Ensure that guests are properly checked in and out of lockers as necessary.
Participates in periodic product inventory as directed.
Conducts tours of the spa and related facilities.
Ensures all spa linen is properly maintained and accounted for.
Trained and able to assist with front desk duties when needed, such as checking guests in and out in the system, answering phones and assisting with spa reservations.
Perfoms all tasks and duties as assigned by spa and hotel management.
Communicates with spa management when guest challenges arise and ensures the highest level of service and experiences for our guests.
Communicates professionally and with the upmost care with guests and associates.
Qualifications
Previous customer service and/or housekeeping experience is preferred, previous hotel spa experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude and smile for each of our guests.
Appreciation for cleanliness and sanitation
Developed customer service skills with a desire to exceed guest expectations.
Must be able to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance. Stand and/or walk for extended periods of time or for an entire work shift.
Must be able to work around a variety of chemicals and be able to respond to hazardous situations
Must have availability to work a flexible schedule, to include Wednesdays through Sundays, holidays, mornings and evening shifts.
